Manchester City - Classic Matches

August 31, 2009 - 10:11 pm No Comments

First I must say that I was in this game. And what made the victory even sweeter was that I was in a board of directors of the Spurs, with free food and beverages, with 4 Spurs fans.

Its funny how the memory of an event can be distorted over time. I remember the game as City and Spurs are desperate to be fantastic in the first half.

But the city were not severe, only Dreadfull on defense. Watching the game again was great, but was somewhat marred by Manchester City - Classic Matches Dreadfull comment.

In the first half, said the city had the bad luck and sometimes the best team. However, in the second half the Spurs said that majestic and domineering.

Do not let you off the hiring of this DVD. It’s a great game. If you are a fan of the city, watch the game.

You are reminded why supporting the city is a rollercoaster ride. We went from being big to greatfull and back to big again. That is the life of the city ….

and only a typical day at the office!

The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg

August 31, 2009 - 7:39 pm No Comments

The Umbrellas Of Cherbourg Now I finally understand what I have seen that ‘everything that the fuss was about’! This is an incredible art from beginning to end.

How refreshing it is to escape the usual schmulzy, sentimental and romantic realist musical “Hollywood style”. This elegant represents the desire for youth in the harrowing experience “true love” are juxtaposed with the reality of the circumstances, the practice and the desire for security. “I would have died for him …

Why am I not dead? The message is hard, however, the visual and musical effect is delightfully magical and fairytale like … paradoxical. Catherine Deneuve is stunningly beautiful in her role as she subtly transforms from an innocent idealistic young lover when faced with uncertainty about their future security, a woman, apparently to solve brutal. This is not a typical musical or opera, every word is sung throughout, yet after a while I was so absorbed by the story barely noticed.

The use of color in any style is evocative of this era, but overwhelmingly in a kitchen. It is a touching love story that will haunt you and simply leave an impression long after having seen.

It is really beyond comparism.

Bundy

August 31, 2009 - 11:31 am No Comments

Bundy I found that this is a shocking and disturbing film - and if that seems silly, then it is because so often true stories about serial murderers are very disappointed because the quality is often in bad taste and it seems nobody gives a damn (in my view, at least). But this, I feel that those responsible really * not * give a damn and were determined to make the viewer think * *.

It seems that a mere ten minutes pass between a rape scene that ends and the next game. But these events really happened, and we are bound to be sick for Bundy’s crimes, so this film is very effective in that regard (and far more than Ed “Gacy” and “Gein”, to cite just two examples I’ve seen recently). With a good performance, especially the guy who played Bundy (the opening scene, when he speaks of himself in the mirror, will give you chills).

I would recommend this film to anyone who finds the psychology of a serial murderer interesting as it gives enough background on Bundy’s life to ask questions and the end leaves you wanting to know more about him too. Well worth seeing, but be careful that you look at some scenes, because it will be too much for some people.

Dancer In The Dark

This semi-musical winner of the D 2000 Palm or singer Bjork is presented as a Czech immigrant sixties America. Bjork Selma s character is a progressive disease that will leave her blind, and as his eye is not working double shifts in a factory to save enough money to pay for an operation to his son, who has the same genetic fate.Shot a brave allowing any change in Hollywood, Selma s film portrays the struggle to make the money you need, and, like his view not of his friends to help his concentration, I do not know why you work so hard.

Selma Dancer In The Dark escape this task in the day dreaming of musicals, and Bjork comes into her own as she performs songs he wrote for the film in his inimitable style, merging the rhythms of life in the darkening of joy and dance numbers. The bittersweet story takes a terrible turn and who is betrayed by his friend, and leave the final decision between his life and his son s future sight. Bjork is superbly unique and charming, with the support of an excellent underestimated Katherine Deneuve, David Morse and Peter Stormare indie unconditional.

This is a radical movement, absorbing film that offers more than the sum of the s party.

Fast Food Nation

The adaptation of Richard Linklater, is a dramatization of fiction from nonfiction. Playing more like a story about the fast food industry than a critique, the film becomes an anti-capitalist diatribe in favor of a simple presentation of the concerns that society shares about the industry.

Following similar to many other works of Linklater mixes his traditional free-flowing conversations with hints of Maria Full of Grace “and” Dazed And Confused. Containing some gruesome images of the film strength lies in the free flow of conversation and all too familiar ethical choices that the characters of Fast Food Nation Linklater and credit side that puts more emphasis on the difficulty of these ethical choices than on the emotional impact they have on the characters.

It’s simple, there is little exploration of the big picture and there has been criticism that non-Interlink arches do not think that things, because the characters are so much meat into the machine as the meat itself. Severely underestimated by critics who could have been a period of three hours of multi-layered epic that might have failed, rather it is a tight little empathetic film, which is definitely worth a watch.

Yorkshire Ghosts

Yorkshire Ghosts Obviously produced on a small budget (although the disc is a DVD-R), which could have been an interesting documentary is ruined by the camera on most of crude and poor interview technique I’ve seen. It’s so bad is good (but only worth a star, yet). The program covers the usual suspects - York, Whitby - and some other parts of Yorkshire, less known for these things, like Sheffield.

With a little more film in the first place (two cameras, perhaps?) And someone who knows how to edit later, there was not much material here to give us an hour or less interesting. But I could not concentrate on (and sometimes could not see or hear) what was happening. An early reviewer compared to a video project for school, but this is actually an insult to the school children.

I can not believe they thought this was good enough to release. Rent by all means, but how anyone is expected to part with hard cash this is a mystery.

Awful comedy crude, but this redeem the franchise to Friday (so) the crude comedy is blunted by ABIT and replaced with a pretty good story (a Santa steal) has good characters with Craig working a security guard with his cousin and future after the mall, the evil is gunna insu especially when mixed in the medicines you take and the Christmas party that the organization, while at work.

Also love anything or get there.
