The Business

September 30, 2009 - 10:40 pm No Comments

Goodfellas and Sexy Beast fans can watch this film and I think it could be the kind of film that had enjoyed. Think again!

The voiceover from the beginning is laughable and the plot is always watchable thin. The wafer Danny Dyer plays his normal Cheeky Chappy, despite his character The Business the transformation is amazing. Attention to detail is absent, although they have some of the 80 great music.

Not as good as the average football factory or in the same league as Sexy Beast, it has a strange kind of fascination that caused me to see his conclusion

Torchwood - Series 1- Part 1

Torchwood - Series 1- Part 1 Am I the only person on the planet who look at these things through gritted teeth, and he is determined to get into it? I doubt it. That is a good concept, the arguments are mostly ready, the characters are there .. should be just as good

but somehow it is not. The acting is truly regrettable, especially John Barrowman, forced emotion strange (is that a word?) Of the characters, what’s going on? I blame the director.

Needs to get a tight grip on the actors, pare everything down and start developing this fluff in the series that really could be if everyone tried harder.

It sa tried and tested formula that offers good old-fashioned thrills and spills, if little innovation. Arquette puts in a credible performance as the agent with everything to lose, while the always reliable Angela Bassett (The Score) is shown as his boss, unperturbed.

Soul Searcher

This has to be one of the worst movies I’ve tried to see (I have even more to the extremely serious “Showgirls” than this!) And do not get me wrong, I am not against low-budget but this movie sucks. I decir’la death ‘is an anthropomorphic entity, not knock on doors and wait for it to open, and I can not think of two or three ways to do this seems realistic, even with a limited budget! Credit where it’s due Soul Searcher However, some of the special effects achieved were very good, but perhaps the budget would have been spent more wisely in giving ‘death’ ability to get somewhere without having to wait for the door to open for him.

Editor’s Note: a scene of someone air guitaring is too much, two is off the time! And when you have a scythe with the blade of a meter that can cut through the dusk death”does not need to know Kung Fu

Why why why why why why wasteful anyone doing this ridiculous action romp.Gangster (????) adrenaline injected drug hungry enemy which means that if your heart rate decreases, the court going to explode. Basically the plot.

I think the producers felt that the tongue in cheek humor that redeeem this farce. Crank It does not funny.Too its absurd and never involved with the plot, which is their main weakness.

As for outdoor sex scene market-this is really scraping the barrel originally. Jason, “you can do better. Take a stiff talking and promise not to Crank 2!

The Double Life Of Veronique

The Double Life Of Veronique Its hard to say there is no action in this movie that had one end of a revolution, death, divorce and enigmatic encounters of all kinds. However, these are ancillary to the main theme - thoughts and relationships of the two main characters, one in Poland and one in Paris, both played by Irene Jacobs.

That share many things in common is revealed through the film and the Polish character dies (a heart disease) and attention shifts to Paris. They seem to recognize themselves in a deep psychological level, but only see once in a brief encounter.

The idea of duality of existence is turned up in connection with the puppeteer who makes tantalizingly two of each puppet in case of accidents. You can probably read in this movie what it wants.

If questioning the type you enjoy it. If the type who likes to design to fit with the precision of Lego bricks ands end a good party to stay away. He will miss a beautiful movie and some very good quality though.

A word about music, high-pitched warble with deep chords do great music.

Pitch Black In the first two minutes, you know that this will be good movie. The opening courageous, realistic and creative is better than any other film I’ve seen of this genre, and the eclipse of the planet is the film is visually stunning. The rapid pace, so if you take a break for a few seconds you will miss something that s relevant on.Despite then unknown actors, the characters say and develop quickly, and well realized, as they prepare for survival against an unknown enemy, during a long night.Riddick is somewhat ambiguous.

I came to encourage him until he did something totally disgraceful, so my personal award goes to Radha Mitchell, who plays the female captain difficult, but dedicated vulnerable, which changes its view that humanity.A spoils a disappointing ending brilliant film in quite the opposite, but still goes on my list of the greats of all time!

Dangerous Game

Director Abel Ferrara’s victory up Bad Lieutenant with this quasi-autobiographical film. Harvey Keitel stars as Eddie Israel, a director whose current project, MOTHER OF MIRRORS, seems parallel his own life (which in turn parallels Ferrara). The film-within a film stars Sarah Jennings (Madonna) and Francis Burns (James Russo) as a married couple whose shared life of cocaine, alcohol, sex and has come to an end now that he has renounced its past, in favor of God.

Drinking heavily and snorting coke to get into his role, Francis finds the Dangerous Game violent behavior of his character over his reality, and starts abusing Sarah off the set and on. Meanwhile, Eddie begins his own affair with Sarah, leading to a confrontation with his wife (played by Nancy Ferrara, Abel real-life spouse) and moral dissolution.

Shot on a variety of film types, this quest for spiritual redemption - drenched in violence, drugs and sex - makes for a heavy visual experience. Regardless of their opinion about the movie itself, there is no denying the absolute value of this unflinching mirror of Ferrara’s own life and art.
