A.I. - Artificial Intelligence

October 31, 2009 - 10:56 pm No Comments

A.I. %%2%%n%%2%%- Artificial Intelligence AI comes under one of those movies you either love or hate and I will explain in a moment. For me I liked this movie with good characters and good acting.

The script is very well together and Spielberg does (as always) a good job of telling the story. John Williams provides the score and as expected corresponds to their usual level.

Although the film is perhaps half an hour time does lose its way and will keep prey. Now the end is why I say the film may be a hit or miss with you.

However, it takes a dramatic turn and going in a direction not expected. It works, but some may think this was a step too far. In general, a good solid movie and worth a try.

Trial And Error

I was looking forward to seeing this movie, although I have never heard of him before spots here. How could it miss? I love the cinema of this period and with 2 brilliant actors in the leading roles, and a review of 5 stars to boot, had to be right?

wrong. was terrible.

duller than dish water. Trial And Error great performances, yes, but the film not only to keep their attention. Surely this would be a very good game, but as a movie fails miserably.

There are many excellent films out there with these fine actors - look instead! trial and error? It was definitely a trial and definitely a mistake.

sorry.

Mission Impossible 3

Mission Impossible 3 Neither my wife nor I are fans of a particular cruise, and as in previous films of the mission seemed impossible that evidence that is his biggest fan, himself. However, occasionally we enjoy a simple action film and Pacey and that is exactly what is delivered in this third installment. When you sit down to watch this movie is better to look with realistic expectations, a Mission Impossible movie is not going to set the world on fire if you do this you certainly can enjoy this offer, Cruise is Ethan’s new superhero almost as a secret agent, there is a wicked and ruthless bad guy, a frightened and innocent woman and then kidnapped love conflicts and conspiracies!

Absolutely nothing new, a few turns in trying to address to add interest and in the most basic level they do. The standard of quality is not as strong as hoped the support of some clearly more talented players (Meyers, Fishburne), however, providing enough for a film of this type, the pace is fast and we were both entertaining if not entirely convinced everything. I must admit, for a basic action movie, not so bad, although the billing and hype too, if you can ignore and just watch the film like any other, must accompany a night quite well.

Exactly what we expected, on the top and as basic as you can imagine, but nice anyway, 6 / 10 and 3 stars.

Memento

In its simplest form this is a revenge movie. The wife of a man is raped and murdered while he sleeps in the next room.

This makes the man, Guy Pierce, to be so traumatized as to be incapable of forming new memories. Because of its short-term memory is nonexistent. Know someone in 5 minutes and forget what they are, vital information remains tattooed on different branches, and a group of photographs to help you remember people and places.

The performance, in particular by Guy Pierce, is Memento excellent by all cast members. The picture uses a variety of techniques that contributes to the overall atmosphere of the film.

Be patient with this film. Do not give over the first 20 minutes as it does not seem to make sense.

You will be rewarded by an intense piece of original film, is not common in this day of the blockbuster numbers. As a well and, ultimately rewarding the recipe, the various ingredients of this film is added gradually and mixed together to form a DVD all to do.

David Gilmour - Remember That Night

I own this DVD at launch and was totally let go for it. The image quality and perfect sound. The music is top notch, I’m a big fan of Floyd and to recognize that I bought this DVD for Floyd tracks, but the island on a material is growing on me, but is a bit slow.

The interpretation of Echoes has to be the best live performance of this David Gilmour - Remember That Night theme I’ve heard, powerful and uplifting, other tracks are Fat Old Sun, Time, High Hopes, Coming Back To Life, Arnold Layne (with David Bowie), Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Comfortably Numb (again with Bowie), Wish You Were Here “and the whole On An Island. The DVD must have for any fan of Floyd, well organized and well done, there is a good bonus disc includes documentaries and concert footage, alternate, nearly 5 hours in total.

Babel

Babel Hello, I read a comment here saying that if they were interested in art-house films that will delight, and if you do not. Well, I can assure you, I am definitely what this pompous critic might call an “arthouse” spectator.

Rarely watch movies anywhere near this spot. However, this is not an arthouse film.

This is a boring and old. Listen, just because the story does not work very well, photography and nice and lasts for years, does not automatically mean that there is no reason to be artistic.

This is just one of those Hollywood movies tedious thought to be more “worth”, as it sheds ‘worthy’ subjects. But it has a single theme: Things bad happens sometimes for no reason.

That’s all. And it just goes on and on, which is sub-mental way, sad and uninventive for what it really feels like twice their two hours. On the evil plot of the deaf Japanese girl (whom the director is clearly getting an erection so consistently shown naked, for no reason at all) this is going too far.

The director is obviously fantasti unleash their sick, and the result is chilling. Let me summarize in a counterpoint to the idiot who wrote the ‘art-house’ Review: If you are the kind of smug idiot who believes that movies have to be completely unengaging and pointless to be “arthouse ‘, then you will to absolutely LOVE this. Seriously, avoid at all costs.

Ten

Ten A lesson for filmmakers around the world on the economy - both production values and dialogue redundant. Every breath of every ten is a sliver of truth. The performances are so real you have to keep reminding yourself this was written and directed.

The actors, particularly the child who plays Amin, are only good unfathomable to almost every A-list Hollywood star to absolute shame (B, C or Z-list for that matter). Living, breathing proof that all you need to create excitement and beautiful art is the talent and intelligence. Not 100 million, overrated actors and a mawkish script as mainstream cinema would have us believe.

Rhinoceros

I had read about some of Eugene Ionesco drama and love Gene Wilder, so do not think I can go far wrong. Appearing as if written by a mad genius, this film is irony at its most outlandish and useless overstatedness of bourgeois mores.

A Marxist critique of false consciousness and middle-class conformity symbolized Rhinoceros by the epidemic that makes people believe everyone is turning into rhinoceroses. Unfortunately, while I laughed uncontrollably during the first half, the film was at least 45 minutes too long. It was not only the diversity necessary to bring humor to the end and the repeatability is numbed?

Was that intentional?

Mona Lisa Smile

Mona Lisa Smile Within the first 10 minutes of this film became obivious that this was becoming a “Dead Poets Society for girls, the main problem is that they have the charm of Robin Williams and Julia Roberts in it, which was very well for this function, act as if simply does not care at all. I like Julia in some of their functions, but the spark in it simply was not there for me, along with this, the story was very slow and it was not anything interesting.

Ok for a quiet night, I suppose, but be careful its not something we could see again and again
