The Wanderers

February 6, 2010 - 10:21 pm No Comments

Not many people are aware that this film is based on a novel of the same title written in 1974. The novel is dark, super-hard, miserable and extremely fun. It is an honest look at how miserable life in the Bronx who have been in the 60s was characterized by uber-authentic dialogue everywhere.

For an adaptation, this is not bad and many of the elements The Wanderers the book to find your way around this but in a completely random manner. I feel the film is very light in comparison and allows the book to a large extent in this regard. It’s more of an idea-good movie and I think if you approach it as entertainment on a Friday night, a bar is not really so bad the nauseating coming-of-age-in-the-60s cliche moments.

The Love Letter I had never heard of this movie, but I thought it sounded good! And its just that ….. okits nothing special, nothing magical, but spent a rainy afternoon away. I just couldnt overcome Ellen De generos man playing a dining room in this film that has not just sit right.

Tom Selleck in the movie is good, and so are the rest of the actors. I did guess who the love letter to and from, and was a pleasant surprise, you are an eagle-eyed viewers will see if they are closer than me.I recommend this movie if anyone is lookin for an afternoon.

A Cock And Bull Story

A Cock And Bull Story Perhaps Ponce child and friend (s) who took the exam (s) above we have seen some inner meaning and value of this film. I agree with most reviewers of this film is extremely serious!

Have you ever seen hustle (look … never see it)? Lordy it was a bad movie! This has to near the speed as one of the worst movies I’ve seen.

Remember the rental store? This is the movie you rented that when you press play the tape turned out to be part of the way through (It’s a bad sign!).

The last person who rented that had to bail halfway! Unfortunately, the DVD can not offer such a warning sign! At least I can post this shit again through the mailbox across the road instead of having to make the long walk to the video store on a Sunday morning to avoid a late fee.

Dear BBC why oh why oh why ……..

Dead Man’s Shoes

February 6, 2010 - 7:55 am No Comments

The genre “revenge” is well known and most movies that follow are clichés (most films sylvesterstallone and Jean Claude Van Damme). There are a few exceptions (like the ’sympathy for Mr vengeance’ and ‘auditions’) Dead Man’s Shoes is another good example.

Paddy Considine character would be considered a psychopath, if you have not had a good reason for what he is doing. Sort of agree with him but how he goes about it Dead Man s Shoes ruthless and cold. It feels like Zatoichi (another good set of movies) “doing what he does.”

Fortunately, there is a strong element of black comedy in this film. Check out the wheels of the bands! This balances what is otherwise a dark film that made me very angry and sad about how f *** ing horrible human beings can be.

While I regret that inhumanity is corny (man to man, blah, blah, blah) and you’ll see.
