Fracture

Fracture I’ve rented for two reasons, one that looked good and the other was to see Anthony Hopkins, which is probably one of the best Home Grown (UK) actors. Unfortunately I do not really enjoy much, I found the picture to be of a style uncomfortable for any reason, not the argument that the Great - Hopkins managed to save some outstanding moments as …

otherwise probably would not have done all the way through the film. If you’re not a fan Hopkins, my personal opinion would be not to bother. Not anywhere near as good as it promises to be.

Sunshine

Sunshine There have been many films about space travel is not focusing on reaching the Sun / Moon / a galaxy far, far away, but this is one of the best. Basically, a group of seven people to revive the sun, for her disappearance and on the way to hear a distress signal from the shuttle mission not before them, they will investigate, and everything goes wrong. In some parts of this movie is very exciting and genuinly feel for certain characters.

When this film dissapoints but is closer to the end, when things are not explained on the previous mission and I do not think that would have helped if it had been. I also believe that what catches the reader here is using subliminal images that you feel compassion for a group of people who don not even know.

Yes, there are parts I could have done with a little more improvement, but there genuinly something that keeps you celebrating the end to see what happens.

Sunshine The first 80 minutes of this film is visually stunning, moving and inspiring. Inevitably, as compared with (although there is) a masterpiece by Stanley Kubrik 2001space odyssey.

It is well acted with a very interesting plot that keeps you glued to the edge of your seat. Like so many other movies but this movie pushed all his hard work and well-polished credentials in the past 20 minutes, when just gets too stupid to maintain their credibility, and ultimately lets you down.

There are a lot of style in this film that is still worth seeing just such a shame that his was not the classic that it might actually feel.

Whale Rider

All other reviews have said everything. It is a magnificent film. One thing I would like to mention is that while watching the film you need to put in the perspective of the Maori people in New Zealand and no disrespect to their beliefs and traditions, however it may seem incredible Thayer.

If you can associate that thought WTH then you will understand and feel the film at its very core. It is not something very common to Western culture where women are undermined and girls compared to boys / men. But even in the third world and especially in the tribes of birth Whale Rider of girls / daughter is not yet rated and the whole world wants a son.The film in this situation where “Paikai” the star of this film is rejected by his grandfather, but she is determined to prove that it is nothing less that children and to comply with a myth about the whales.

It is a simple story, but when you look at the beautiful backdrop of New Zealand people and fantastic films, play music and bring along an impressive performance of Keisha, the child star in the role of “Paikai” moves your heart. Brillintly told story. Highly recommended.
