Where The Heart Is

January 31, 2010 - 10:28 am No Comments

Where The Heart Is is a wonderful film. I love seeing this kind of music because the characters are so real and the story is charming enough to keep watching.

Its the kind of thing that appears on television in the evening and occasionally on the surface as is the story of Aman who loses everything and see what’s important is a Littl Emore that. Uma Thurman and Suzy Amis make a couple of crazy sisters, Dabney Coleman plays on this side of the bank and adding to an hour and a half well spent. Everything has a great attention to detail and I enjoyed it and was pleasantly surprised by how well it turned out to be.

Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle

Charlie’s Angels 1976: Big hair, Farrah Fawcett, Charlie’s silver tongue, capers, high kicks and flashing guns. Charlie’s Angels 2003: tight around behind Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu in leather Drew Barrymore in a wig, no plot, no laughs, and did I mention tight around Cameron Diaz behind. This was terrible.

Terrible. Beyond the pail.

The first was bad enough, but this takes the biscuit. There Charlie s Angels: Full Throttle much of, though attractive, entertainers parading around in bathing suits and shorts.

Demi Moore should know better, and it’s no wonder Bruce Willis maintained its participation credits. Director McG clear that it would again make MTV and music videos, but can you believe someone has given him the next “Superman” film live??? Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle - Avoid.

Beowulf

After reading Seamus Heaney illustrates the excellent translation of poetry Bowulf, I was really waiting to see this movie. In the back, Neil Gaimon quoted saying “I wish that the powerful and amazing Seamus Heaney translation of Beowulf has been available when and Roger Avary wrote our first script.” Having seen the movie, I can echo this heart.

A terrifying, flesh eating demon turned into a miserable creature who has come to complain about noisy neighbors. As for the other, his mother, what a transformation! Blood feuds, Beowulf loyalty, betrayal, heroism, a queen that lit the room with his presence mead, dragon hordes.

All seemed to have disappeared in this story. It was as if the writers had heard the story during an evening with the boys and could only remember the names of the main characters and not so much of the plot! Beowulf Estuary English made him seem about as heroic as a chat show host.

The first five or ten minutes were very good, but then lost the plot turned into a typical video game scenario and went quickly up the hill.

I’ve seen all the way through this waiting at least a good laugh. Although never arrived.

Somewher I read a while ago that was on the same line as the likes of Airplane with some of the jokes might think daftest. What is a writer who must sign his name only as unemployed Epic Movie and certainly not in film reviews. To compare these two movies is the biggest laugh that can hope to get anything even remotely connected to this big pile of steam …

Whatsit! I Luckilly This is England at the same time it was much more entertaining and actually cheered me, which is disturbing when one thinks about what it is.

Beowulf

Beowulf I was expecting this film - though I was one of the few people who did not know it was an original experience in 3D, but my word, you can tell very soon. As for the story is impressive and has some moments of majestic quality, but was not disappointed voice credits - former Denmark had a multitude of accents that would not be out of place today at the United Nations.

Ray Winstone is a bit of London for my taste, but personally, I think it’s generally awesome! Anthony Hopkins allowed to interfere with his Welsh accent well, but to act - I really can not make my account!

I was disappointed in general, though, looking back more pleasing result. A word of warning to those who hire young people for this audience - certificate 12A was well out of place for this film.

Contains mild sexual references, but the blood, gore and general violence, the battle is something that is not friendly today in horror movies - if there is an incident of foul language, it would have been 18 without a doubt. Worth seeing to pass the time and only to say that you saw.

Then again a couple months later and enjoy it properly.
