Secondhand Lions

Secondhand Lions The plot is simple: boy is left with two of his older male relatives, and both come to love and respect each other. It ’s also a selfish mother dumping, “the boy in two of his relatives, with the instruction to find where it’s supposed millions are hidden. But the overwhelming feeling of the movie is the love of life, which as you have and wonderof, and a belief in yourself, not others, then the life of a radish. Sterling performances by the actors threemain, and a number of laugh out moments and a pretty emotional [but not soft] endingmakes this, for me, a memorable film.

A.I. %%2%%n%%2%%- Artificial Intelligence AI comes under one of those movies you either love or hate and I will explain in a moment. For me I liked this movie with good characters and good acting.

The script is very well together and Spielberg does (as always) a good job of telling the story. John Williams provides the score and as expected corresponds to their usual level.

Although the film is perhaps half an hour time does lose its way and will keep prey. Now the end is why I say the film may be a hit or miss with you.

However, it takes a dramatic turn and going in a direction not expected. It works, but some may think this was a step too far. In general, a good solid movie and worth a try.

Secondhand Lions Fabulous movie! The cast are really excellent and good in character.

This film comes with some amazing performances. Caine and Duval are bright, like two grumpy old men who just want to be alone to get on with your life.

Believe me when I tell you will not believe what they do for street vendors (I think we can all identify how they feel!). They live life on their own terms and her nephew, soon realizes that the “terms” are not as bad as he first thought when looking at other opitions rather unattractive in her life.

Needless to say there are some tall tales to be told brilliantly by the two old guys and, of course, the superb way that the film actually gets its name. The twist at the end is good, heartlifting and fun!

I recommend it to anyone after seeing with my parents, spouse and child of 8, who all sat down without saying a word, except to laugh well and wholeheartedly in the right place! In short, a really good movie.
