Somersault

March 3, 2010 - 11:34 am No Comments

Somersault Somersault follows a girl named Heidi as she runs away in search of a new life and experiences in Australia, Snowy Mountains. Knowing no one and no place to stay, she forms relationships with a number of people who help.

The film largely focuses on his relationship with Joe, a local farmer, with whom he begins an affair. The film is slow pace and humor that will put a lot of people, but their use value as it offers an interesting view of the confusion and vulnerability of youth. Unlike many other Australian films, filmed the movie is beautiful shades of green and blue, away from the obvious red, yellow and orange with you associate with the country.

Switchblade Romance

Switchblade Romance No doubt the sub genre of horror that always leaves the most unpleasant taste in the mouth has to be the slasher film. From its origins in movies like Friday the 13th, seems to have followed the same tired old road kill young virgins, exciting sex scenes Togther held all the bloody violence distasteful. From the end of the slasher film has had to overcome in the last laps were introduced, more blood and more violence.

Switchblade Romance is a particularly nasty film of this genre that confirms everything related to the horror movie I dislike. Long scenes of violence, exploitation of female sexuality and rape presented to the viewer as ‘entertainment’ The plot is simple: the woman hunts down and kills man along the road. Somehow he makes a turn to make this movie more acceptable, but only left a bad taste in my mouth.

His violent misogonystic a dark tone. If you like your slasher films I’ve no doubt this will interest you. However, if you do not like violent movies gore with no plot, very unpleasant scenes and exploitation of the female body, then avoid this film at all costs.

What happened to a genre once relied heavily on suspense, not shock value at any price????

The Machinist

So it is a film based largely on issues which have now been filmed and written extensively in the past decade, still enjoyed this film, perhaps most extends to enjoy my feelings. One worrying aspect bad Christian Bale is flawless and a real assett to the film as the main character. Without him, this film is unfortunately a bit boring and ‘been there, bought the t-shirt drawing.

He is so fantastic, by far the largest player in our youth … Oh, how The Machinist I would love to see BATMAN as the youngest only HANNIBAL .. had eaten the promising PreQual. If you liked this you’ll like FIGHT CLUB. If like me, just wants to see a surprising performance for a brit getting better … see this.

The story is that … not above average and has no final impact, although it is believed he has. .. A four stars, but loses a star as a waste of the talented Jennifer Jason Leigh!

The Woodsman

The Woodsman I am a big fan of Kevin Bacon and I must say it has had some of the most diverse roles through his acting career so far I feel this has to be one of his best. The story unfolds and Bacon a peadofile recently released from prison intends to return to a “normal”, but after reflecting on his past, had trouble with his future and the possibility that he is normal. It is difficult to escape the fact that this film is really about a man who abused children.

Making finding your own sense of pity for him! This made me feel very insecure and question my sanity. I had to keep reminding myself that this was a movie and not real life.

In short a very good film with a brilliant performance. In a calm tone, I think one has to remember that peadofiles are rarely rehabilitated.

Cleverly Bacon together this film makes a hero. Although he carried out one of the most terrible acts in the children that a person can do.

It seemed more of a bender of psychology in the mind is subtle, but after seeing you soon see how to manipulate the feeling of pity for him and making excuses for why he did it!

Elephant

Elephant Elephant looks good. It shot well and the work style of the camera is very clever in parts. But unfortunately this can not compensate the tedious hours of mind-numbing silence and near constant cameras following people around 10 minutes walk meaning that you will have to bear if you look at this.

Elephant basically has nothing to it. Apparently the film plane, the struggle against the emotional tone is supposed to hight the effect of what is actually happening by the end of the film.

To be honest, I really do not care at that moment that I had found myself staring at the cracks in the wall or anything that is mildy more entertaining than this. The film simply does not work.

I think I will give new Gus Van Sant’s effort a failure.

Party Monster

MacCaulay Culkin is trying to establish itself as a credible actor for adults. I understand that, but this is just a poor movie, too “country” for its own good. Based on a true story, I can remember when the boys made their TV Drive

talkshow appearances. It is actually the excesses Party Monster of this film in order to spoil it.

I laughed at how bad some of it was. I can not believe that Seth Green could be so bad either. I did it with this stick in the hope that there would be some credibility to the final.

All that was left was a disappointment.

The Machinist

This would have been a very good film if it were not so prdeictable. If you’ve seen some movies to know within the first 10 minutes exactly what the twist at the end will be and what will happen.

A sleepless thats talking to a person that nobody else knows exists, that has only common sense to know exactly what will happen light. However, despite this predictability, it was a pretty decent movie.

The problem here is that this kind of film has The Machinist has done so many times before. The first major fight club, live nowhere near it.

Identity was another good movie like this, which was able to do. This falls into the category with Hide and Seek (De Niro) in the sense that both films tried this, they were nice movies, but just do not pull the twist off the end as Fight Club and identity.

If you’ve seen Fight Club or the identity, not even bother with this film, if I have not seen rent on time!

16 Years Of Alcohol

There are moments in movies too beautiful for words. There are moments in the film that stay in the mind and soul of a long time.16 years follows the path of transformation of a young mans one thing, another.Visually: this has inspired at times - and a 16 Years Of Alcohol soundtrack of The Blue Nile used for emotional effect - but the story lacks cohesion extent. However some - there are visual signatures still have to go out of my head that are so strong: clock, with caution.

This is not what I expected, and all the best for him.

Masked And Anonymous

While this may not be the best film in the world, is much more interesting than most of the things we take for granted and apparently enjoy. Ok, as an aging Bob Dylan freak I may be biased, but having seen the movie twice, I was struck about how fun it is. Bob is an actor, but his presence is Masked And Anonymous fascinating, particularly the last trip in the van when the camera is based on it throughout the monologue.

Live music is wonderful, and a great band on tour to see Bob. Of course, among other things, is all about identity, it was Bob Dylan, who wrote “Times are changing, not Jack Fate.

So enjoy, and some entertainment features of Goodman et al.
