World Trade Center

This is not an action movie, nor is it a documentary about the plane hitting the towers and the survivors to escape. These two men trapped in the rubble waiting to be rescued and how their families faced during that time.

It is interesting film that shows the confusion and lack of communication between departments within the 9 / 11 and how ill-prepared for the United States was an attack but do not expect to be entertained. All the way through the film can not help thinking that was a true history of 9 / 11. Do not get me wrong 2 men are rescued and survive against all odds is good, but what about those who actually saved the life of the tower and escaped or not.

For me it was a wasted opportunity. The argument of the former Marine is inspired by events to meet and “revenge attacks” by the fighting in Iraq was just bizarre. Even to link the two unrelated events was shocking unforgivable.

Having said that show was well acted and what the families of services in New York has passed, but the story was not good enough to warrant a big-budget movie they did about it.

Mona Lisa Smile

Mona Lisa Smile Within the first 10 minutes of this film became obivious that this was becoming a “Dead Poets Society for girls, the main problem is that they have the charm of Robin Williams and Julia Roberts in it, which was very well for this function, act as if simply does not care at all. I like Julia in some of their functions, but the spark in it simply was not there for me, along with this, the story was very slow and it was not anything interesting.

Ok for a quiet night, I suppose, but be careful its not something we could see again and again

Reasonably entertaining Oliver Stone film, which is a great improvement in its latest effort Alexander. Note that it would not be too difficult.

Stone does not focus too much on the events that led to 9 / 11 and tends to avoid the use of visual effects of the aircraft hitting the towers but the sound it makes use of World Trade Center effects to great effect. The film tends to fall into the medium in large part because of the Cage plays very monosyllabic.

Perhaps the real person was deaf, as stagnant water, but does for Filmaking well. Still not bad but will never be a great film.

Stranger Than Fiction

First I must point out that this film is a comedy - if you wait to laugh you will be disappointed. What we have instead is an intelligent, if somewhat overated, a film that explores the life of a worldly man and how he reacts when he is forced to see from a third person perspective. Harold Crick is a man destined to be common in all senses - was closed at the same time each day, gets the same bus to work every morning and has no friends, apart from a colleague.

But everyday life is turned around when he starts hearing the voice of a woman who tells all his actions - even before it happened. However, the possibility of madness is nothing compared to the voice announcement of her death is “imminent” … At this point we Harold attempts to find the owner of the voice and understand the Stranger Than Fiction argument that has found itself in.

Anyone who has studied literature and narrative theory are some nice references plot and characterization of devices such as the movie continues. But clever as this is not really that much fun.

Although I liked the movie, the story seemed to drag and then suffered from the usual topics see coming a mile away. The quality is excellent, although Hoffman looked bored in several of its scenes - Will Ferrell certainly proves here that can take a serious role. Overall, this is a good film and could have been excellent if not take itself too seriously.

The topic has been done before and better in far more impressive films (Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, for example). But this is still worth seeing, and hopefully the start of Will Ferrell taking on more than just comedy.

Secretary I liked this. It is not just another strange, confusing film deals meaninglessly too hard to be intellectually stimulating. This is not really a story behind some characters you care about is the end (even if it scares you!) And despite the fact that there are actually a good film, you will leave feeling curiously high.

If you want another Hollywood movie equivalent of food through a straw, and then give it a miss. However, if you want to be challenged to enjoy a movie about the evil that is evil, and ends in relation to the characters that start either mad or something pathetic, give it a chance. It is edifying in a downbeat way, in a worrying fastinating and, basically, a very watchable film!

Sherrybaby

There is a genuine feeling of “what’s the point?” this - in spite of a great central performance from Maggie Gylenhaal, there is really nothing of merit here, nothing to inspire you or uprising. Just released from prison, Sherry returns home and tries to get a job and his life on the way back - but, oh my, life is not as difficult for an ex-con with little knowledge?

Things go from bad to worse - the wife of his brother Sherrybaby you do not like it and want to make sure that you know how much work they have done to raise his son, and there may be a bit of history datk involving his father. It is often painful to watch, but not in the way intended by the filmmakers - is more shameful that so horrified faces, and the film ends with a complete ‘emotional’ anticlimax that have been reached after five seconds that came out of the jingle.
