I wanted more than this. He really did.
I loved the book and I loved the radio series. I even liked the original series of BBC TV, but this movie is just one step too far.
He looked polished, but where is the humor? Where were all the book reviews, and they did for Zaphod?
This is an effort that starts just brilliantly with the song of the dolphins, but then passes under a sinking ship. Why does it also stops where?
If Zarqua. N the second part! This film gave me a complex Marvin.
When I think of what might have been I’m feeling very depressed.

A great adaptation of the book by Douglas Adams, and certainly something that the “Hitchhiker s Guide fans’ will enjoy. Bizarre? Yes, but that’s the whole point.
Most likely not appeal to those who have not read the book. Martin Freeman (Tim from The Office) plays a great Arthur Dent and Mos Def
is very funny in its portrayal of Ford Prefect.
Who better than Stephen Fry, an English language teacher, to tell. A thoroughly enjoyable movie and fun to watch. It brought back memories of my youth when I first read and became a big fan of the book.
Fans will not be disappointed.

I rented this solely on the premise that all the hype after the release film could not have been wrong. I have not read the books or seen the original show or listened to the radio so when I pressed play, I went in with an open mind … the first 15 minutes or so was just bored mind.
history is not collected and the characters were just not enough grip. Martin Freeman, however, does not capture the “completely docile and confused act of man” VERY
well.
but it’s nothing we have not seen in the office. 5 minutes later (though he was much much much much much more than that) I had had enough.
the first movie i have gone off without waiting for the final. I would ask those responsible for this farce if it could return again when half my life I’ve lost with this film …. by the way.
the meaning of life is 42. there.
I just saved from having anything to do with this travesty.

It was hard to believe that the dialogue that came to the screen was Douglas, and had not been re-written in some way. But despite that, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that he had put in a whole new story, which is a great brand of Repect for all long-term fans of the man who knows the old arguments.
He could have served the usual things, but we have something new and am grateful for
that. The models and creatures are beautifully made and surprisingly without falling into excessive CGI. I would have liked Marvin Stephen Moore to play again, but it was good to see Simon Jones, who is very good for playing sinister beaurocrats penalty films.A Douglas could not have been around the defense of your script while this film was completed, and seems to have been cut with something else. Douglas not pure here, maybe a hammer and tongs remix.

I am a big fan of Kevin Bacon and I must say it has had some of the most diverse roles through his acting career so far I feel this has to be one of his best. The story unfolds and Bacon a peadofile recently released from prison intends to return to a “normal”, but after reflecting on his past, had trouble with his future and the possibility that he is normal. It is difficult to escape the fact that this film is really about a man who abused children.
Making finding your own sense of pity for him! This made me feel very insecure and question my sanity. I had to keep reminding myself that this was a movie and not real life.
In short a very good film with a brilliant performance. In a calm tone, I think one has to remember that peadofiles are rarely rehabilitated.
Cleverly Bacon together this film makes a hero. Although he carried out one of the most terrible acts in the children that a person can do.
It seemed more of a bender of psychology in the mind is subtle, but after seeing you soon see how to manipulate the feeling of pity for him and making excuses for why he did it!

The film itself is great fun and as many commentators have said, HHGTTG brings a new audience that is obviously a good thing. I would give it only 3 stars though.
Could have been a little more fun and quirky. We are fans of the books and the radio program already and I think
flinch from what is too surreal. The bonus disc, however, was great.
I give 4 stars! Filled with the usual behind the scenes stuff, but we found most entertaining.
We have a real sense that the actors enjoyed making the film and really felt proud to be in the project.

Willis, as usual, is fine and Donner, at least keeps things thriller in the style and look. But this movie should have been a fast race against time thriller in the mold of speed or just in time.
There are so many deaf dialogue breaks to make the film that never gets an advantage of the excitement of the seat. That is mixed with a clear
inaction (taking into account the bus scene out of control is good but too short) and an annoying performance “Mos def make this a good idea on paper, but poor in implementation.
If you feel the need to rent this - see the alternate ending is one of those times when you have not labeled with the finished product.

Anyone who grew up listening to the radio in 1979-80, this comes as a severe drop. BBC-TV series was better than this and stuck to the story and, in addition to holding most of the same voices that made the show.
The only saving grace of the film was the casting of Martin Freeman and Bill Nighy, perfect in their roles
Arthur Dent and Slartibartfast. Just goes to show that Hollywood (even when made in our backyard) can mangle a classic franchise like no other can. So if you’re a fan hitchhiker, then avoid this turkey of a movie and go out and get the recent Tertiary, Quandry, drama and Radio4 Quintessential CD.
Much better value for money and more hours of good laughs with most of the original cast.

I was initially suspisious this film, I do not think any remake of the original should be done, but was pleased to see that this was not a remake - and had only had similar concepts in the history of flows original. The well and a decent pace so slow that no bits for the movie at all. While not delving into the characters, we are given enough information to know who
and what they do. The story is clever, but not overly complicated and it is good to see the bits that have left the original mark.Though is the best by far has to be the Ministry.
A sports car unlikely, the mini is the real hero of the film. The cars are fast and furious and show some of the good that can be drive.
The mini is by far the best actor in the movie!
