Children Of The Corn There are some very good movies based on Stephen King’s work. Dolores Claiborne, Salem’s Lot and Carrie come to mind. However, there are also some not so great movie, based on his work and Creepshow 2.

And then there are the movies based on stories that fall in the middle right, and this film, based on a story about the book Night Shift, is one of them. It has so much potential, so much promise, but ultimately does not offer enough.

Solid performances all around. Some very cool moments, including an unforgettable opening.

An excellent score. The direction, though not spectacular, is still pretty good. Fritz Kiersch at least get good results from his cast and is able to invoke a few chills along the road.

Some visual effects are quite good. But ……

The pace is slow at times. It’s not as scary as it could have been.

The final visual effects are laughable. It’s worth seeing, but do not kid yourself.
