Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

November 27, 2009 - 1:14 pm No Comments

While this is not exactly what most people think of when they imagine the story of Frankenstein, is a close adaptation of the book, and executed well experience.Kenneth to create a very nice film, Branagh both directs and stars (as Victor Frankenstein), and although his interpretation of the doctor is good, the best quality comes from Robert De Niro, who is very well built and rebuilt as the abominable horror-elements together monster. The of the film is very good - no Mary Shelley s Frankenstein are not as many moments of suspense as he might have thought it, but the film has its moments of fear, which is a formidable horror.Altogether if you’re a fan of the classics, this is a film that gan ‘I do not want to lose , and if not, would be an excellent way to spend a couple of hours anyway! I think this movie not quite reach five stars, but if he could give four and half years, I would!

The Godfather Part 2

November 20, 2009 - 6:29 pm No Comments

The Godfather Part 2 This is my favorite part of the 3. Hard to believe that Paramount executives were against the use of Al Pacino as Michael as he is exceptional (although a preview of the massacre sob in the restaurant, finally convinced them). Likewise De Niro who plays the young Vito the early days of the family in New York.

Most secondary characters is great too, with legends such as Lee Strasberg and Robert Duvall. Although quite a long movie, never a dull and full of drama and suspense. This film catapulted Pacino, De Niro and Diane Keaton into stardom, especially Pacino, and its not hard to understand why.

Awakenings

I had never heard of this movie until a friend lent it to me, but it really is one of the most moving films I’ve ever seen. Every aspect of the right sucks really care about the characters, and this in my mind is undoubtedly one of the main elements of good / great cinema is all Awakenings about (evasion of entertainment is certainly another). George Charalambous of Manchester succeeds with its consideration: the casting is perfect, the chemistry between the major (and minor) players is Spot-On, and his heart is with everyone, the whole way.

And what De Niro did not win an Oscar for this performance I’ll never know … A hidden gem: You must see it.

Shark Tale

cgi animation reasonably pleasant romp. Little on what really keep adults entertained, has some of the most blatant product placement I’ve seen in a movie, and once you’ve heard a joke Jessica Shrimpson style ‘who has heard them all! It is disappointing that not much in it for the children either.

Trys too hard to be hip and happening, but my children were a bit away from her and not absorbed or engaged at all. One fell asleep. nobody wanted to go to bed and the other did not ask whaen stopped I had to go to the bathroom!

Shark Tale Perhaps, as an adult I have been a bit spoiled lately with films like Nemo Shreks and you can really enjoy if you are of age is the end of the two digits.

But there are some classic Disneys never mind watching because it is seen through the eyes of the Childs and his admiration and enjoyment is what moves you. Unfortunately, this film does both. I wonder if the CGI to make movies Reality TV seems to be to our software developers?

Terribly fashionable, but broke out and ultimately rewarding. Hollywood wants to go back and make a truly great animated film like “The Iron Giant.”

Mean Streets

Mean Streets A seminal film in which Scorsese change the way characters you see in the movies. The main protagonists of history are not “good people”. They are very involved in the shady side of life, in this case the Little Italy area of New York.

There are very few redeeming features in his life, and a certain nostalgic sense of existentialism in the character of Harvey Keitel. Robert De Niro acts brilliantly as a bully mildly retarded and hopeless, and his performance encapsulates all the macho world of immaturity in which he lives. The filming and direction is also innovative - a lot of handheld cameras and shooting frenzy, but the lighting is too dark in some sections.

Goodfellas

Goodfellas S best film Scorsese offers an electrifying performance Liotta and Joe Pesci and Robert De Niro are excellent as well. The Pesci why I am a clown?

shoeshine and the scenes are awfully tight and I guarantee that is saved on your memory for years after the credits. Pesci is so frighteningly real that we must remember that s really an actor and not a real life pint-sized psychopath (though I do not t be surprised if it is!). Funny, smart, violent, shocking, captivating the list is endless, but suffice to say that this is definitely one of my favorite movies of time and in my opinion, s easily the best gangster movie ever (sorry all you Godfather hardcore fans out there!). Films just don t get any better!

Think about it smartass!

Taxi Driver

Taxi Driver Taxi Driver is a film about one mans alienation and his inability to deal with it. After returning from Vietnam, Travis Bickle find you can not find their place in society. Everywhere he looks he sees something he dislikes, prostitutes, drug dealers, pimps, etc.

Pollution and litter in the streets makes him sick. After he is rejected by the only woman he likes, he goes over the edge and becomes increasingly alienated and delusional. Scorsese s in the direction of this film is impeccable.

The New York film seems so sordid and horrible as Travis sees. There is no word or action out of place as DeNiro is Travis, the pace role. The probably his best and most emblematic of the film is deliberate, gradually leads us through the offspring of Travis on deception. And while it may be difficult to identify with Travis drastic action can not be denied that his troubles are universally felt - the loneliness, disconnection from the rest of the world is something that most people have experienced at some point.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen dealing with a psychosis of the characters in so tight and well constructed case, this is a must.

Dialogue is a movie of Will Smith and the poor in the plot takes you from tedious and predictable return. Who thinks that animation is good?!! In some parts it was on par with my X-Box.

Watch scenes of glory reefs Nimo and think again .. I laughed about 10 times throughout the film. It has nothing of the richness of the characterization of Nimo or Shrek, and none of the intelligence toy Shark Tale Story or The Incredibles.

I have no children but I saw Nimo and Shrek in the cinema with my girlfriend and thought that popcorn was well spent. If I had seen it on film would have been royally miffed. And why fish have virtually the arms and legs and look like their characters voice ..

s the boss around here … facilitators or promoters? Pants.Hell, maybe the kids like.

Casino

Casino We stopped to watch this movie an hour after it had begun. We rent because so far we have liked everything we’ve seen for Scorsese.

However, Casino seemed an exercise in the old cliche s, with the added charm of contemporary films, and banking on the reputation of De Niro and Pesci. Most people will find entertaining and interesting, with a reasonable amount of violence by design. It is also a curious look on how Las Vegas casinos are structured and managed.

I recommend you rent it and watch it and form your own opinion, as mine is based on having seen too many movies, and perhaps slightly tired of some established s. movie cliche
