The Last Samurai

I especially like that of Tom Cruise I’ve seen in interviews, but I think it gets a bad press when it comes to their actions. He really is not a terrible actor at all. It has become some great performances in his time, Rain Man, Collateral, Magnolia, July 4 to name a few.

The differences in these characters shows the man can act when EIS bitch mind to it. He turns in another solid performance here and the photography and direction keep the story flowing through its long run time.

I found it difficult to have empathy for the characters but, in any case that illustrates the futility and stupidity of death and war, but there are some very good scenes and is quite entertaining br seen once with enjoyment.

D j vu. This format is pretty well wore out the right.

How was this boring? If this car to see what else could possibly do with this issue, then let me help. Nothing.

They did nothing but rehash of the usual junk. Tom Cruise will never achieve their dream of Oscar wasting time with this SH12. I could not give a stuff about the characters or the journey I fell asleep (no kidding) two times out of boredom.

It really can go without seeing it, s possible. Good grief I just realized that 167 people reviewed this film positive and 44 negative, I must say that Shocker SA, I m trying to understand that, m all for a good action movie, but not ta good movie action.

The study obviously did not want to surprise and therefore possibly alienating the audience in some way with this film. after the first 15 minutes I accurately predicted everything that was going to suffer the ‘hero’.

this is the worst kind of history of a rehash of western degenerates develop a relationship free and just a sense of honor after the meeting some of the stereotypes, and totally The Last Samurai Japanese two-dimensional characters. similar script lacks depth. other than the costumes and cinematography of this film is bland and boring.

My impression is that people like to do, because everything is so familiar … is like an episode of her favorite soap opera (and I think people who like this happens to be on soap operas).

War Of The Worlds

War Of The Worlds I had read much about this movie on a trip to the U.S. in February, and in the British press since. I saw the scene of 747 accidents in Universal City, Los Angeles and looked impressive.

My expectation was high. I went last night with my daughter on opening night.

It’s a good film with amazing special effects, but somehow left me feeling short changed. We now come to expect much from ‘blockbuster movies’, and this fell short. The best films in terms of “hitting the ground” is Terminator (1 in its time), and from, 2.

They took my breath away. WOTW The best part is the bit in the basement, where “The Eye” is the search for survivors ….

Many humans are dead - do not take your kids (if you do, you are too cruel).

Truly horrible. The book is one of my favorites and so well written that every sentence is a joy.

Spielberg has taken a lot of elements of the book, completely lost the point and then filmed. The list of bad things in the movie are very stressful. Like a popcorn movie I guess right, but it should never War Of The Worlds have called the War of the Worlds.

If nothing else the fact that Spielberg couldnt get the army to hit wide all the way if he tells you everything you need to know. You just had to have that scene at the end where the army starts bringing down the Martians. Team America said that all ‘USA - f * ck yeah! “Tragic.

Elizabethtown

Elizabethtown The main reason that you can view to see this movie is that if you’re a particular fan of Orlando Bloom or Kirsten Dunst. Myself, I looked forward to the release of this movie because I read that promotions compared with one of my films favoritas’Garden State ‘.

Yes, a man in his mid-20 to travel anywhere to meet the practical aspects relating to the deaths of a father and meets a girl that means anything to him while doing this. But I would not say that the feeling of the film is in no way comparable. There’s just nothing that stood out from this film for me, nothing special about the cinematography, dialogue, the overall plot.

I was so disappointed! If you liked “Garden State” … watch it again rather than sit through ‘Elizabethtown’.

Mission Impossible 3

Mission Impossible 3 Neither my wife nor I are fans of a particular cruise, and as in previous films of the mission seemed impossible that evidence that is his biggest fan, himself. However, occasionally we enjoy a simple action film and Pacey and that is exactly what is delivered in this third installment. When you sit down to watch this movie is better to look with realistic expectations, a Mission Impossible movie is not going to set the world on fire if you do this you certainly can enjoy this offer, Cruise is Ethan’s new superhero almost as a secret agent, there is a wicked and ruthless bad guy, a frightened and innocent woman and then kidnapped love conflicts and conspiracies!

Absolutely nothing new, a few turns in trying to address to add interest and in the most basic level they do. The standard of quality is not as strong as hoped the support of some clearly more talented players (Meyers, Fishburne), however, providing enough for a film of this type, the pace is fast and we were both entertaining if not entirely convinced everything. I must admit, for a basic action movie, not so bad, although the billing and hype too, if you can ignore and just watch the film like any other, must accompany a night quite well.

Exactly what we expected, on the top and as basic as you can imagine, but nice anyway, 6 / 10 and 3 stars.

I had fun this film was good in parts and had the makings of a movie premier, had it not been for two things. The first and worst was the mistake of casting Kirsten Dunst as the female lead, she’s awful, just want to slap. Frequency.

The second is the Elizabethtown toe curlingly cringe making scenes with Susan Sarandon, who is totally, totally lost in this film. Orlando Bloom manages a very credible American accent, but aside from a road trip in the last part of the movie is not called to act much. The movie was fine for a night when there was nothing on TV.
